Hello There and Welcome
So a “blog” is new for me and I hope you find the entries here amusing and thoughtful. I’m not setting a schedule, only when I feel compelled to write. Some possible topics include:
I’ll talk about photography of course. Mostly the thought process behind specific images. Not necessarily technical but an attempt to describe the contemplative nature of why an image is important to me.
I start my day with coffee on the patio and witness to all the activity in the garden. There’s a lot here to relate!
I’ll write about ordinary life experiences, that I find profoundly illuminating.
One of the most interesting things I’ve experienced as I grow older is that memories from my earlier years have become extremely vivid. I’ll share some of these and make connections to how I have been molded.
Old people always seem to talk about their aches and pains. But you know when we do it’s an affirmation that we are all in the same sinking boat. Let’s laugh together and carry on.
A good part of this blog will be devoted to my ongoing spiritual journey – a lifetime of discovering Christianity and my path to growing closer to God.
Also, keep an eye on the “Galleries” as I’m beginning to scan negatives when I was a film photographer. I’ll be working on The Phipps Conservatory, a project from the later 1970’s. Additionally, I’ll be adding new images to the “Recent Work” galleries.
“Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other’s eyes for an instant?”
~ Henry David Thoreau
